Yes, on the 19th August 48 lovely ladies from Bexhill Ladies Group visited to see the horses and the farm. The booking had been for 33 but the beautiful weather encouraged a few more to join the group. A few more chairs were quickly rushed out and Tony gave a short talk about the farm and the latest developments with the horses. It was anticipated that most of the ladies would want to stay on the lawn and play croquet or even swim however a show of hands revealed the majority wanted to do the farm walk!
This was a great success although the second bridge over the stream had not been built so a deviation was necessary. On returning to the lawn Dinty had already started serving the teas and delicious cakes. Every crumb of cake disappeared and the leisurely afternoon drifted to a close with group photographs under the windmill. There was no charge but the group made a generous donation and went away with newsletters and a happy memory of a day in the country.
